No, Ohio State and Michigan Aren't Leaving The Big Ten

There has been plenty of speculation about what the SEC will do next. After seemingly landing Oklahoma and Texas in a move to expand the conference, there have been plenty of rumors swirling that the SEC isn't done.

That could still be true, but don't expect anymore blue bloods to be added.

Earlier this week, an eye-opening rumor got started that major programs such as Ohio State, Michigan, Clemson and Florida State were all looking to join Oklahoma and Texas as new members of the SEC. Here's the tweet that got everything started:

Honestly, I read this and immediately thought Jack was trolling. I didn't even give it a second thought until I saw a few places, including OutKick, run with it. However, a lot of those articles expressed their own doubts about the move, which made me even more skeptical.

It was just hard for me to believe the SOUTHEASTERN Conference was looking to go so far north for expansion. Sure, they branched out to the Midwest with Texas and Oklahoma, but that's a little different than reaching into Big Ten country.

Apparently, there's nothing to that rumor anyways -- at least from the Big Ten's standpoint.

Dan Wetzel with Yahoo Sports tweeted out on Monday that 1) the Big Ten has "little to no interest" in expansion and 2) No, Ohio State and Michigan aren't leaving the conference.

Honestly, I'm glad that the expansion could stop with just Oklahoma and Texas. It's difficult to have conference pride when every single remotely competitive team is in the conference.
