College Football Schedule This Weekend ... Absolutely Loaded

College football is starting to dwindle down, but we are not done yet. In fact, the schedule is loaded beyond anything we have ever seen before. Or if we have, it has been a very long time.

Think about it. This is championship weekend, and that means several quality matchups between top 25 opponents. Just check out this impressive championship slate:

That is already a fantastic slate of football. There are ten games there, and all of them have some level of intrigue. Three of them are matchups between top 10 teams, with tons of College Football Playoff implications on the line.

But let's take it a step further.

For the first time ever, we are also going to have a large number of "regular season" games to fill in gaps. These are makeup games from issues with COVID-19 throughout the season, and the way everything has played out is perfect.

Stop and think about a Playoff contender like Texas A&M for a minute.

Normally, they would be sitting at home during championship weekend without a chance to leave that one lasting impression on the committee. But in 2020, they will be playing Tennessee on the road at noon ET on Saturday. Plus, we are also going to get ...

That's another 12 games on the slate. Yes, on top of the 10 quality games already mentioned. This combination has never happened before, and it may never happen again.

For some, this weekend acts as the first round of the College Football Playoff. For others, it's about fighting their way in. And for any games that aren't quite the epic matchup we expected, we're going to have plenty of other options to compensate us.

Guys, it's going to be epic.
