NCAAB Best Bets for Saturday, December 11, 2021

We are back with more college basketball. With the football programs in the offseason or gearing up for bowl games, this is one of the few remaining sports we have consistent everyday plays in. Let's get right to it.

UNC Greensboro at Tennessee

Let me start by saying, I think Tennessee smokes UNC Greensboro today. Will it be by the 20 point line that's posted? I'm not as confident in that. Coming off a home loss to Texas Tech, you'd think they want to blow the doors open on this game as much as possible. UNC Greensboro is playing better of late, coming into the game winners of three straight. The difference is the competition level isn't what Tennessee brings to the court. I'm going to take a shot on the over as both teams will likely try and get out and run a bit. Not only that, but over the last five, Greensboro is over that total in four of them, Tennessee is over in three of them. I'll play over 128.5 at -110.

Houston at Alabama

The biggest question in this #14 vs #9 matchup is will this be a letdown game for Alabama? The Crimson Tide haven't played since defeating Gonzaga and that can potentially mean a slow start or an opportunity for Houston to come in and smack them around a bit. I still think Alabama has the best player on the court in Jaden Shackelford and with the game this close on the line, they are definitely the side I am taking. This opened with Alabama getting two points and has already swung two buckets. I still think that Alabama can pull this one out by a few baskets. I would consider a moneyline bet on Houston for the first half, though (+116). I will for sure take Alabama -2.5 at -118.
