NBA Fans Roast LeBron For Bringing His Own Booze To NBA Finals Game

Tucked underneath his seat during Saturday's Game 5 of the NBA Finals, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James hid a bottle of Lobos 1707 tequila for personal enjoyment, finding a national spotlight for the rule-breaking move.

James co-owns the featured liquor brand, and viewers scratched their heads wondering how the NBA superstar snuck the drink in. Was it the overwhelming privilege and star power that already grants the player immunity from rules imposed on the general population, or was it the lack of media coverage?

In any case, it was a good weekend for James. His highly anticipated animated feature Space Jam: A New Legacy was released, and he was in attendance at Phoenix Suns Arena, spotted courtside alongside many other celebrities as the Suns fell to the Milwaukee Bucks, 123-119.

James hinted on Twitter that though they tried to prevent him from bringing the alcohol, he decided to sneak it in anyway.

James' stunt also detracted from the sub-par performance of Chris Paul — Phoenix Suns point guard and friend of James. However, James' venture into Tex-Mex libations has had mixed results from social media followers ... made worse by a cringeworthy "Taco Tuesday" line in 2019.

Next time you're left wondering whether LeBron is a man of the people, consider whether he's ever shaken his head in disgust after paying $10 for a watered down beer at an event. Probably not.
