Much to the delight of drivers and fans, NASCAR is bringing back the good ol’ days for this weekend’s Mother’s Day Special at Darlington Raceway.
As relayed by Bob Pockrass of Fox Sports, NASCAR has encouraged teams “to run paint schemes that mimic previous ones and/or honor past drivers,” for the 400-mile event on Sunday.
And the teams appear to be taking advantage of the opportunity.
Sunday’s race begins at 3:30 p.m. EST and will be televised on FS1. Here’s a look at more of the paint schemes and the excitement surrounding them.
