MSNBC senior producer Kyle Griffin tweeted a quote from President Donald Trump that took off this afternoon. The tweet has been shared over seven thousand times (as of 3 p.m. ET). The problem is, Griffin chopped it off halfway through.
Here’s what Griffin said:
Trump on Fox: "I think the concept of chokehold sounds so innocent, so perfect."

Here’s what Trump said:
This has 6.5K retweets in less than an hour and the entire second half of the quote is cut off where President Trump calls for chokeholds to be ended.@kylegriffin1 should delete and retract.

Yeah … not exactly the same.
Many things are taken out of context on Twitter. It’s the site’s bread and butter. But you hate to be on the receiving end of it. Whether Griffin meant to take this quote out of context or he just happened to change the channel after the word “perfect,” he should retract and delete it.
