It was a bit of a rough day on the diamond last night, and we lost two of our three plays. We go back and try to make that up tonight with this triple play of MLB Best Bets.

Brewers vs. Diamondbacks

The Brewers have Brandon Woodruff going for them tonight, and he has been very strong to start the season. He has had an ERA under 2.00 since the third start of the season. The Diamondbacks have been on what is essentially a month-long struggle with almost no sign of hope. Caleb Smith has converted into a starter and had some decent outings since he went to starting pitcher in June. So far in this series, the games have played to totals of five and six runs. Tonight, I’m taking the under on the total of 7.5 runs. I expect both pitchers to be strong and keep opposing hitters off balance.

Braves vs. Mets

The Mets are facing a pitcher tonight that their team is batting over .500 against in limited at-bats. The Braves are facing a pitcher they’ve never seen. To me, that gives the Mets the upper hand. Sharp movement has already pushed this line from plus money on the Mets to them becoming the favorites at -130. I’m going to tail them on this one. I want to be clear, it isn’t really smart to tail the movement after it happens since you aren’t getting great value. But either way, I want to be on the right side of the game, and I think the Mets win this one. Take the Mets on the moneyline.

Athletics vs. Rangers

James Kaprielian has been strong for the A’s, but he has been significantly better in his two starts at home than in his five road starts. Tonight, he takes on a Rangers team that has never faced him before. For the Rangers, Mike Foltynewicz is really struggling. He has given up multiple runs in all but three of his starts this year and carries a 6.92 ERA at night. In a very small sample size, the A’s are not hitting him particularly well. I don’t expect this to be a one-run game though. I’m taking the A’s to win on the run line at +102
