Minnesota Wild Coach Talks About Getting ‘Hammered’ And ‘Banged’ Every Night

Videos by OutKick

Dean Evason is taking wild to a whole new level. The coach of the Minnesota Wild was recently asked about having less practice time this season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

He probably thought his response was pretty routine and mundane. To a 30-year-old with a 12-year-old sense of humor like me, it was way more than routine or mundane. It was spectacular. The content here is gold.

Let me summarize it for you. Evason was talking about his team getting banged and hammered every night — or every other night. Try not to laugh here. I dare you.

“You’re playing every second night, I mean you’re not going to be banging each other down low when you’ve banged the night before and you’re about to get hammered again the next night,” Evason actually said, for clarification.

Look, this quote is going to come up again. In fact, your friends are going to use it in all sorts of immature and inappropriate situations. You might as well get used to it.

As for me, I’m still over here chuckling.

The Wild are 18-8-1 and currently sit in second place in the West Division. They’re also on a five-game winning streak, second-best in the NHL. And yet, Evason is winning as much off the ice as his team is winning on it.
