Minkah Fitzpatrick Turns To Social Media To Voice Displeasure With NFL Top 100 Ranking

Like a five-foot nothing teen entering the 8th grade in an old pair of Vans, Minkah Fitzpatrick feels like the world is against him. First the Steelers defensive back took issue with his Madden rating and now he's feeling burned by the NFL's Top 100 Players list.

Less than an hour after NFL Network finished revealing the rankings of players 100 through 41, Fitzpatrick's thumbs blasted out a tweet which seemed to signify displeasure with his spot on the Top 100:

A year after being named the league's 35th best player, Fitzpatrick was ranked 52nd. Thus far, Broncos safety Justin Simmons (45th) is the only safety slotted higher on the list than Fitzpatrick. That sour taste in Fitzpatrick's mouth likely won't wash away anytime soon. Safeties such as Jamal Adams, Tyrann Mathieu, and Budda Baker could easily find themselves amongst the league's top 40 players.

A leader on the Steeler defense, Fitzpatrick is coming off a season in which he was named to the Pro Bowl, tallied 79 tackles and snagged four picks. Despite his impressive numbers, the Top 100 list marks the second-time this summer the fourth-year pro's (apparently) been slighted.

Pittsburgh plays their second preseason game Saturday evening when they host the Lions. The exhibition game opens up the possibility for Fitzpatrick to get angry about something on-field for a change.
