Michigan Believes Harbaugh Extension Close, Ohio State Hopes It's True

Fox Sports' Bruce Feldman has reported that Michigan football is feeling "optimistic" about an extension with head coach Jim Harbaugh through 2026.

Don't want to be rude, but Ohio State and most ranked teams are praying this report is true.

Jim Harbaugh is currently 0-5 against Ohio State, 3-3 against Michigan State, 1-4 in bowl games, and 1-8 against top 10 teams. So what we're getting at is that no one is afraid of a Harbaugh-led Michigan squad, and Michigan shouldn't feel optimistic.

If anything, they should be coming to camp in 2021 with skepticism and overall wondering if Harbaugh is the man for the job. We don't want to get hasty and make the claim he should be fired, but he definitely shouldn't be handed the keys for the next six seasons. What has he done that solidified the future of the Michigan Wolverines?

Apparently Michigan's athletic director and boosters have seen enough to overlook the results. Don't expect the fans to do the same and if wins don't start coming soon--it'll get ugly quick.
