Michael Thomas was listed as questionable to play in the Saints’ Monday Night Football game against the Chargers tomorrow. He practiced a little bit this week so it seemed like he was possibly going to play. Then all of a sudden he was designated as out. Now we know why, according to Adam Schefter:
Saints’ WR Michael Thomas had an altercation with a teammate at practice this weekend, per league sources. Saints now disciplining Thomas by sitting him Monday night, when he was being listed as questionable with an ankle injury.

It will be interesting to see if more details emerge about this altercation. It’s a game the Saints, who are 2-2, really need to win. Therefore, one would presume it must have been a pretty serious infraction for the team to hold him out of this game on Monday.
UPDATE: Albert Breer has an update on the details of the altercation:
Per sources, the altercation b/w Saints WR Mike Thomas and DB Chauncey Gardner-Johnson came during a 5-play red-zone period yesterday at practice. MT didn't like how CGJ was covering him, they jawed, couple snaps later Thomas threw a punch.
CGJ was wearing a helmet at the time.

With Brees? 🤨
This guy is who the Saints want as their public face. Him and Jenkins. Threw the classy Drew Brees under the bus for loving America and now this. What a joke!
