Michael Thomas, Carlton Davis Exchange Jabs On Twitter Over AFC Championship

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are going to the Super Bowl. Now that they have defeated the Green Bay Packers 31-26, there is only one game left standing in the way.

Even though the Bucs won, Tampa's starting cornerback Carlton Davis didn't have his best game. Aaron Rodgers threw for 346 yards and three scores, and several of his completions came against Davis. One play in particular stood out.

Davante Adams, one of the league's best receivers, got a nice release on Davis near the goal line and scored a touchdown. Check it out:

This is the part of the story that gets fun.

Though his team lost to Tampa Bay in the Divisional Round and are now watching the games from home, Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas wasn't about to pass up on an opportunity to jaw at his opponents. He sent a tweet saying "Biggg slant," ostensibly directed at Davis, that has caught some traction.

Is that the end of the story? Of course not.

Davis was ready to fire back. Not only did he point out Thomas' lackluster three performances (eight catches for 68 yards combined) against the Bucs this season, he even told Thomas he "better work on them routes!"

Regardless of performance, Davis is the automatic victor here. First off, Thomas did little in three attempts against Davis and the Bucs this season. Secondly, Davis and his squad are about to gear up for a Super Bowl ... while Thomas and the Saints sit at home.

Either way, this Twitter feud is about to get good. Get your popcorn ready.
