It’s not SEC football season until you see a monkey wearing an Alabama onesie hanging out a window at a stop light in Tuscaloosa. A video of the monkey sighting has been passed around the southeast making Bama monkey a breakout star this week. But until now we didn’t know much about the mystery monkey riding shotgun.
Turns out the monkey’s name is Jordan, according to his owner Jazmine Partin. “Jordan “BAMA MONKEY” would love to come monkey around with all his favorite team mates and coach #rolltide,” she wrote Wednesday night on Facebook as her pet started to gain viral stardom.
“He’s truly brought sum smiles and laughter in the midst of all the chaos. Who knows maybe Nick Saban will offer Jordan sum tickets to the next game. He would truly make an appearance,” she added.
Alabama opens at home October 3 against Texas A&M. I’ll make sure to update you guys if Jordan gets tickets from Nick.
