FOX Weather to Have Exclusive Access to College and NFL Football Stadium Feeds

FOX Weather announced Wednesday that it agreed to a deal with WeatherSTEM to gain access to high-resolution video from college and professional sports stadiums across the country.

With the deal, FOX Weather meteorologists have exclusive access to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Raymond James Stadium, Pittsburgh Steelers' Heinz Field, University of Iowa's Kinnick Stadium, Louisiana State University's Tiger Stadium, and Texas A&M's Kyle Field, among others

"The high-definition camera network will also enable instantaneous access to real-time weather conditions, spanning lightning, wind speed and temperature, for a hyper-local approach to weather coverage. Combined with FOX Weather's innovative data systems, the partnership will further enhance the platform's weather display technology, giving viewers a complete picture of the weather story."

With the recent legalization of sportsbooks across the country, the weather for upcoming football games has become more and more interesting. +3.5 sounds much better when the wind is not dictating field goal kicking, doesn't it?

FOX launches FOX Weather on October 25. FOX Weather will air as a 24/7 ad-supported streaming service with a combined 120 meteorologists. Marissa Torres, Ian Oliver, Kiyanna Lewis, and Jane Minar are among the anchors.

Oliver joins FOX following a stint at Tampa Bay's NBC affiliate. So if Oliver tells you not to worry about a storm coming near Raymond James Stadium, just remember that Bucs fans are still riding high from that Super Bowl win.
