Defund The Police Is Working Out Well As Entire Police Department Resigns

'Defund the Police' marketed itself a movement made in the best interest of the American public. Now, the vapid ideology is reaping the effects of its demoralizing message as a growing number of police officers have been forced to abandon their departments.

For the Kimberling City Police Department in Missouri, this harmful rhetoric led to the abrupt resignation of the entire police force as officers began to explore other opportunities — rather than subjecting themselves to the degrading conditions, lack of adequate pay and available help fomented by their city's lack of assistance.

Stone County Sheriff Doug Rader spoke on the ongoing issues with ensuring community safety now that the police department faces more staffing and funding issues on behalf of the resignations, without any immediate support available for the community.

"It will be a struggle to fill the police department back up with qualified officers, but hopefully they can start working on that soon and get that accomplished," said Sheriff Rader.

"I didn’t know there were that many openings in Branson West because we didn’t see an advertisement for police," Fritz said, referring to Alexander and officer Shaun McCafferty taking jobs at the Branson West Police Department. 

Kimberling City Mayor Bob Fritz called the resignations "unexpected" and "disappointing" — the mayor was disillusioned by the effects of cutting his police department's funding.

Minnesota, a Defund the Police hotspot, tried to deplete resources for their police departments until the Minneapolis City Council was advised to up its funding by more than $5 million after crime began to see a spike.
