CNN, New York Times Fantasize About Replacing Biden

44% of Democrats want a party candidate other than President Joe Biden to run in the 2024 presidential election. And we now know that this wishful group of Democrats includes staffers at CNN and the New York Times.

On Wednesday, the New York Timespublished an op-ed imploring Biden not to run for reelection because he's "alarmingly incoherent." Soon after, CNN posted a list of 11 -- not just 10 -- Democrats who could replace Biden on the ballot in 2024.

It's as though these news outlets answer to the same mysterious figure pulling the strings behind the scenes. Today, that invisible tyrant demanded the press fantasize about replacing Biden on the ballot.

"The man who once gave his party hope now weighs on his party's fortunes like a pair of cement shoes," the Times says. "So what's the president to do? He should announce, much sooner than later, that he will not run for a second term."

Got that? The Times doesn't want Biden to even think about his next move. Instead, the outlet wants Biden to announce immediately that he will not run for reelection so the party and the media can begin grooming the next candidate.

Remember, liberals were the first to publicly note Biden's cognitive declines during the 2020 presidential primaries. It wasn't until the race came down to Biden and Bernie Sanders that the party, and thus the media, embraced Biden. So it's not surprising to see the Left turn on Biden this quickly.

However, the Democrats' unwelcoming bench bodes poorly for the party's future. Just look at CNN's fantasy list:

Take a moment to process those names.

That's not a promising group of characters, whether Donald Trump or someone else is on the Republican side of the ballot. Every single one of these people would have to fail up to win the nomination.

The only candidate who could possibly be worse than CNN's first pick, our current Vice President, is Hillary Clinton. And Clinton probably would throw her hat back in the race, should the party boot Biden. Clinton deserves the White House, hasn't she told you?

Ultimately, Biden remains the Democrats' best option because a confused man trumps a resentful progressive.
