McKayla Maroney Is BAAAAACK?

McKayla Maroney, a member of the legendary Fierce Five U.S. Olympic gymnastics team that won team gold at the 2012 U.S. Olympics in London, appears to be announcing she's BAAAAACK in 2021. Just like Salma Hayek, Paulina Gretzky and Kate Upton. "Never too late for a fresh start," the 25-year-old retired gymnast announced late last week on Instagram.

What's it all mean? Who knows, but at 25 and with a gold medal in her pocket, it could mean a variety of things. It could mean she's announcing an upcoming content bender like the one Paulina went on. It could mean that she's planning a career change. It might even indicate we're about to get new fresh beats from Maroney, who released a single "Wake Up Call" in 2020.

It doesn't look like Maroney or any of her fellow gymnasts will get the chance to work the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo since that event will most likely be canceled. So what do former gymnasts in their mid-20s do with that gold medal name and buzz from nine years ago?

Maroney will do a Cameo for $150, if you want a message from her. Chatting with her will cost you $19.99.

"Lately I've been pushing myself really hard to step up and change parts of myself, and my life I'm tired of... no more excuses, easy way outs, just making it happen. I want change. I want my life to be so different by next year. Feel free to join me, we can do it together," Maroney wrote in late 2019. By March, she had released music just before COVID struck.

Now, yet again, Maroney IS BAAAAACK. It's officially time to get her in the Morning Screencaps rotation around here.
