ESPN’s Peter Burns had enough of the halftime report, so he ditched the conversation to ask Tom Hart about his dog. Unfortunately for Peter, Tom Hart’s dog was put to sleep a few weeks back. Yikes…
This one’s is hard to watch (but please do).
Foot in mouth moment for @PeterBurnsESPN here!

“We had to put him down a few weeks ago, Peter. Thanks for asking. John, you’ve got tennis shoes behind you and that’s a lot more entertaining,” Hart said.
Get slammed on, Peter.
That is possibly the coldest dunk in the history of television. Delivered beautifully, and of course, we send our condolences to Tom Hart on the passing of his dog. R.I.P.

Maybe somebody in the production crew set him up told him to ask that would be epic.
Like the time we told my friend to ask another friend about his mom being a world class runner.
She was in a wheelchair, and had been her whole life.
He’s supposed to know and follow Hart’s Twatter feed, obviously! Shame!
