'Master Shredder' Diesel Truck Blows Up At Utah Dyno Horsepower Event

I'm not going to lie to you guys, I'd never heard of a dyno event until this video crossed my Facebook page tonight and I started digging into the story of how this diesel truck blew up Saturday at the Weekend on the Edge dyno event held in Ogden, Utah.

A dyno event is a gathering of diesel truck and car enthusiasts who put their rides to a dynamometer machine test to calculate vehicle horsepower and torque over the RPM range. It's a cool event idea, but that's not why we're here. We're here because a truck exploded.

"Well truth be told I don’t really know what to say about this other than thank god me and Kody Pulliam walked away from this and nobody was seriously injured," Shawn Baca said about the truck blowing up on him while he was inside.

"Aside from burns and bruises from bailing out we are good. Cant thank everyone enough for the blessings and support through this. Living up to its name. THIS IS THE MASTER SHREDDER! 2,920 horsepower and over 4,000 torque is the number it made prior to this run. The push for 3K ended in this. Me and this truck have been through hell and back literally.. I love and live for this sport or whatever you want to call this madness.

"Nobody but god himself can take that away from me. Until that day comes i will keep pushing it to the limits. Very grateful nobody was seriously injured trucks and parts can be replaced."

Before you think your weekend was bad, watch this explosion while Shawn's in there cranking up the RPMs until the Master Shredder can't take anymore and breaks loose. Here I thought trying to get my Firestick to work on the patio TV was a real struggle. It was nothing compared to what these guys went through.
