Lovie Smith’s Son Arrested, Charged With Pimping In Arizona

Son of ex-NFL head coach Lovie Smith, Mikal, was arrested in Arizona for charges of “pimping” in Arizona. TMZ Sports is also reporting that Smith faces additional charges that include receiving earnings from a prostitute, sex trafficking, money laundering, and conspiracy.

From coaching professional athletes at the highest level to pimping. He better get to updating his LinkedIn.

Mikal played football himself at U of A before he got into coaching as an assistant with the Chicago Bears. Smith followed his dad from Chicago on his move to the Tampa Bay Bucs to coach defensive backs.

He also made a stop at Trinity International University as a coach before joining his father’s staff as an assistant in the NFL.

TMZ hasn’t been able to reach the Smith family at this time, but it looks like the dream of him being a real-life Pootie Tang is dead.

  1. Sorry to hear. I am…oops…I was a Chicago Bears fan and really liked Lovie as our coach. He sucked on offense, unfortunately, but at least he dominated on D and ST. Hard ot argue with 2 NFC Championship games and a SB appearance.

He was a Tony Dungy disciple so he handled himself with class. Sorry to see what happened to his son.
