It might’ve been a little while since you thought about Travis Diener, the now 38-year-old sharpshooter who played at Marquette from 2001-2005 before spending a few years in the NBA with the Magic, Pacers, and Blazers. Before Tuesday’s final in The Basketball Tournament, an annual competition in which the winning team earns $1 million, he promised to cover the tab for a whole Wisconsin bar if his team of Marquette alumni won the dough.
Not only did the Marquette alumni win, Diener hit the game-winning bucket:

Living in Chicago, Wisconsin bar prices are always something to behold. Currency goes much further there. Doing the math from this receipt, mixed drinks are $4.50 for rail and $5.50 for call. Bombs and beer cans are $3 apiece.
