Real-Life 'Final Destination': Man Survives Plane Crash, Bus Plunging Off Cliff

Erwin Tumiri is either the luckiest man alive or the unluckiest. There really is no middle ground.

That's because Tumiri survived a plane crash five years ago that killed dozens of Brazilian soccer players. Tumiri was a crew member on that plane.

Now, he has survived a horrific bus crash, crawling from the wreckage of an accident that killed 21 people in Bolivia. The bus reportedly plunged off a cliff, resulting in the devastation.

"I was a little sleepy and listening to music on my cellphone when people started screaming," he told Bolivian TV network Unitel. "The only thing I could do was grab the seat in front of me and lean on the window so that I didn't move when the bus rolled over, because I knew that was going to happen."

Tumiri, 30, reportedly walked away with back and knee injuries, but was treated and released from the hospital on the same day.

"We turned and turned and there were people who didn't hold on and were thrown about as if it were a washing machine," he said of the bus crash.
