Lions To Chat With Saints Assistant HC/TE Coach Dan Campbell About Coaching Job

The Detroit Lions coaching search will take another turn on Monday, as the team will have a sit down with New Orleans Saints assistant head coach/tight ends coach Dan Campbell.

Campbell has been on the Lions' list, but he wasn't able to speak to any team until the Saints completed their Wild Card round Sunday against the Chicago Bears.

Detroit has a couple other names on their list that they want to speak with this week as they continue the search for a new head coach.

As a coach, Campbell might be most remembered for his time with the Miami Dolphins, where he acted as interim head coach for the final 12 games of the 2015 season and went 5-7.

He then moved to New Orleans and has been with the Saints since 2016, helping out with tight ends and assisting head coach Sean Payton.

Detroit has been busy since their season ended a week ago. They have already interviewed former Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis, Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, interim head coach Darrell Bevell, and 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh.
