College and universities across America brag about a variety of statistics: student GPAs, graduate income ranges, growth of in-demand fields, etc. However, at high-level law schools in 2021, all of that is secondary to one statistic: the level of “whiteness.”
Vernellia Randall, a professor emerita of the University of Dayton School of Law, created a report that ranks, judges, shames, or praises law schools based on their whiteness levels. She then sent her whiteness ranking around to various law schools, and the schools have waited patiently for it like they would a medical test result.
The Whitest Law School Report, its actual name, is making waves across campuses. Co-deans of Case Western Reserve University School of Law, a decently-ranked college on the whiteness scale, emailed all of its students to brag that the college ranked 144th out of 200 law schools for “whiteness.”
Shame on the 143 colleges behind Case Western Reserve.
“We have the ‘least white’ student body of all of the other law schools in Ohio, except one,” the email found by National Review read.
Randall explains her study:
Excess Whiteness is the degree to which a law school is more white than the Law School Admissions Council (LSAC) Applicant Pools and state population. Thus, excess whiteness was determined by subtracting the school’s total whiteness from the percent of whites in the various application pool. The results were then summed. Of the 200 law schools in this report, 21 Schools (10%) had no excess whiteness, 153 schools (76.5%) had more whites in their first-year class than was in the National LSAC application pool. One hundred twenty-four schools (62%) had more whites in their first-year class than the state applicant pool. One hundred nineteen schools (59.5%) had more whites in their first-year class than was in the regional pool. One hundred and thirty-nine schools (69.5%) had more whites in their first-year class than was in the state population.
And here’s an example of one of her findings:
Like most all major causes today, this whiteness ranking is unnecessary and absurd. We should be bringing this racially-obsessed madness to an end, but this report indicates that it’s probably just beginning.
The truth is, anyone can make an impact by calling something racist or saying that there should be fewer white people involved in a particular field. No other context is needed or demanded. Once something is deemed racist, those in charge go into overdrive like cowards.
Fear drives decision-making, as I have argued at length here for months now. When decision-makers feel even the threat of a racist label coming, no matter how baseless, they panic and cave. Whether they believe the accusation is factual or bogus, they cover themselves, believing that if they don’t, they could be canceled next. There is always a more progressive candidate just waiting in the wings to replace them.
Honest question: how many Americans accused of actual crimes and facing jail time have chosen lawyers based on the level of whiteness of their law school?

Weird. When I went to law school, they wanted proof of my undergraduate degree, my GPA, and my LSAT score before I was admitted. Who knew that all they cared about was my “whiteness,” even though they had no idea what my ethnicity was.
White law schools must mean they try to teach and interpret the law rather than finding ways to subvert it.
Which one is the whitest? That’s the one I want to go to…
That would be the safest one
Anyone named Vernellia has got affirmative action written all over it.
Dayton is a horrible law school. Just putting that out there. Nice little gimmick for them.
By definition an analysis based on race is racist… to modify behavior as a result is racism … cooperation, compassion, love are the tools used to unite all … turn away from the purveyors of division and realize that we are all God’s children … doubt and despair is the work of evil …many hands make light work and there is much to do
Well said and the absolute truth. But how do we convince the other half? They just look at this as…..more racism.
What about Asians?
Which law schools have an excessive Asian level?
I single out Asians because the left keeps “white washing” them.
If you have been to Berkley law you would know that there are many more than would be considered representative of population size.
A note here….good for them. They earned it.
Which schools has an excessive “blackness” level?
Did they discriminate against Latinos?
Would their education improve if they admitted less black students and more Latino students?
Diversity is all that matters…..except in the NBA. Asking for diversity in the NBA is racist.
Inquiring minds want to know.
Can’t wait for the same and medical schools.
Wokesters: Let’s see the applicant pool racial breakdown vs state population, please.
Most of them graduated from the University of the Perpetually Offended…which seems to be about every college in the country right now.
That brilliant barrister Sonny from Sanford and Son went to Dayton School of Law…
Hahaha! Clip from Sanford and Son was hilarious. Huggy Bear.
And that will be the quality of lawyer coming out of schools that are pushing more deserving whites out.
which law school did Jackie Chiles (Cramer’s lawyer on Seinfeld) attend?
“who tol you to put the balm on???”
I’m guessing Dayton.
Insane! This crap has to stop.
MLB too white. NBA too black. Let’s mix them up in the name of diversity. Lebron can play centerfield and Freddie Freeman can play small forward.
We should insert equity too. There are no 5’6″ white guys in the NBA and no 7’2″ black guys in the MLB
“Excess whiteness”. Only some woke, black bitch would sit around and try to figure this out. By the way, anyone who`s white that goes to this school after this should turn in their white card.
