Latest Rand Paul Death Threat Smacks Of All The Unity We Were Promised

On Monday, Senator Rand Paul received an envelope filled with a white powder and the following statement:

"I'll finish what your neighbor started, you motherf******."

"I take these threats immensely seriously," Paul said in his statement.

Why wouldn't he? There's a common denominator to all political figures at risk:

Martin Luther King Jr. gives his famous "I Have A Dream" speech" -- shot and killed just five years later. JFK establishes the Peace Corps in 1961 -- shot dead less than two years later. The point is that Rand Paul is trying to strip power out the hands of leaders to throw it back in the hands of the people. Almost everyone who has tried to bring peace, whether you agreed with them or not, ended up dead. So why wouldn't Rand Paul take these threats seriously? He should.

Why aren't our news outlets or social media leaders helping?

It's simple: because they're not on the side of the people. Twitter, Instagram, and CNN continue to make excuses as to why "peace" is only offered to liberal leaders. President Joe Biden claimed he would lead both sides rather than divide, yet here half the country stands being told they're "Neanderthals" over the way they choose to vote.

Name calling, threatening to ruin careers, and now threatening lives. Rand Paul is showing what it's like to stand up to the mob -- he just has a platform. The ding-a-lings over at the FBI had this to say:

"The FBI's Louisville field office told Fox News it was 'working with the Warren County Sheriff's Office and the Capitol Police by providing forensic and technical assistance.' U.S. Capitol Police said they were investigating the package as well."

The FBI is shadier than a college girlfriend leaving for a Miami weekend. We can't expect answers from them. As of now, Senator Rand Paul and all free-thinking Americans will need to protect themselves. We're all we got.
