Las Vegas Casinos Reopen, Maine Black Bears 2020 Calendar & Bama Fan Pulls Robbery

I’m not even sure what to call this post, but I think you’ll remember the format from my past Internet life. The world is such an angry place right now and I know you guys don’t want to be full of misery on a daily basis so I’m bringing back this huge pile of Instagrams, Twitter photos, videos and submissions from out in the real world so we can all share a smile, laugh, learn something and just get the day started on a good note.

Those of you who’ve been following for a decade will get it. For those of you who are new to my style of content, give it time and you’ll start to notice the trends with this morning post. I really enjoy vintage Ric Flair, vintage NASCAR, a fun truck sticker and pretty much anything Vegas-related. Send in material you see out in the wild.

As for what’s big news this morning, Vegas opened casinos this morning at 12:01 PDT and they’re running some of those old deals you might remember your parents telling you about. Real room deals are back and you’ll even be getting free parking at some resorts, according to the Las Vegas Sun.

Along with self-parking fees being waived at MGM Resorts International and Caesars Entertainment properties opening Thursday on the Strip, some casinos are looking at waiving resort fees.

The Sahara is waiving resort fees — normally about $40 — for June. At the South Point, the nightly resort fee has been reduced to $14 as part of a promotion that runs through August.

At the Flamingo — one of three Caesars resorts reopening Thursday — resort fees remain, but a room for two adults with a king-sized bed can be had for $50 or less (not including the resort fee) this month.

Golden Entertainment, which owns the Strat and a number of other properties, is offering rooms up to 45% off, a company spokeswoman said.
