The Baltimore Ravens are preparing for a Wild Card fight against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. Quarterback Lamar Jackson is going to be an important part of that fight, but he’s also fighting for the freedom of rapper Kodak Black.
Black is currently in prison on federal weapons charges, and Jackson took to social media to plead with President Donald Trump to commute his sentence. Here is what the third-year signal-caller had to say:
“Hey @realDonaldTrump @potus my friend @KodakBlack1k deserves to be commuted. The system punished him way to hard for a paperwork crime #freekodak.”

Back in November of 2019, Black was sentenced to a four-year prison sentence after he plead guilty to lying on his background check while buying firearms. It remains to be seen whether President Trump responds to the request.
The President has granted full pardons to 41 people while commuting the sentences of eight others over the last two weeks, according to NBC Sports.

lol
I mean its not like he has multiple arrests and convictions for assault, battery, sexual assault, and weapons possession. In addition to his current firearms conviction. Where he lied about those in trying to get a gun…
Wow 4 years for lying on background check it that is the truth it does seem a bit harsh if no priors he could have got one on the streets so i guess he was trying to do it the proper way.
That sentence sounds a little harsh. Compare that to senator Richard Blumenthal who lied on his background check when he ran for senator in Connecticut and his punishment was he got elected.
