Despite being born in Bedford and going to high school in Allen, Kyler Murray is NOT a Dallas Cowboys fan.
The Arizona Cardinals quarterback was interviewed by Sports Illustrated for the release of his magazine cover with FaZe Clan — a professional esports and entertainment organization based in LA — on Thursday and was asked about his favorite team growing up.
When Murray was asked if he was a Cowboys fan as a child, FanNation Cowboy Maven reports he responded with a pronounced, “Fuck no!”
“They were always ass,” the Cardinals quarterback said, and mentioned he was a Minnesota Vikings fan growing up.
Murray was born in 1997 and wasn’t around to experience the Dallas Cowboys dynasty earlier in the decade. Cowboy Maven reports that the best Cowboys season Murray saw growing up was in 2007 when the team went 13-3 in the regular season before losing to the division-rival New York Giants in the divisional round of the playoffs.
Maybe Murray carries his dislike of the Dallas Cowboys onto the field as well.
Cowboys Maven reports that in the Cardinals’ Week 6 matchup against Dallas in 2020, the second-year quarterback carved up the defense with 188 passing yards and 74 rushing yards, with three total touchdowns as the Cardinals beat the Cowboys 38-10.
The healthy Dak Prescott-led Cowboys can avenge that loss as they’re scheduled to face the Cardinals in the preseason as well as in Week 17 of the 2021 NFL regular season.
The Cowboys begin training camp next month. They kick off the regular season on the road on Sept. 9 against Tom Brady and the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Mark this one on your calendars, football fans. Jerry World sandwich. Cardinals have the Colts at home week before, and finish at home the week after with the Seahawks. They might need this win real bad to make the post season, besides proving Kyler right lol.
Yeah the way JJ treated Tom Landry and Tex Schramm a couple of really good classy guys and really disrespectful never rooted for the so called “boys” again and a bit of karma going on JJ hasn’t sniffed a SB in a quarter century
Absolutely, James…good points. What he did to Tom Landry (total class) and Tex Schramm just showed the white trash side of Jerry. Same with me not rooting since before they won a few.
All these teams embarrassing themselves with the tranz nonsense on their twitter profiles LMAOOO
Come on gimme a break. Stop the pandering
