Knox County Mayor 'Kane' Cuts Office Tailgating Promo For Vols SEC Opener

Knox County, Tennessee mayor Glenn Jacobs, once known as WWE wrestler Kane, is fired up for Vols football opening today with a game against South Carolina (7:30 ET, SEC Network) and decided to do what former wrestlers do best -- he cut an office tailgating video featuring a couple of microwaved hot dogs. Thanks, 2020.

The good news for Vols fans heading into the opener is that it won't be a typical late September road game to Columbia. With just 20,000 fans or so in the stands, the usual home-field advantage will be out the window. Tailgating will be discouraged.

Add it all up and there's going to be plenty of driveway tailgating, patio gating, houseboat tailgating, and office tailgating. Still, you can get the vibe from Jacobs that the alternative -- no football this fall -- is unacceptable and fans will make do with what they're getting as the SEC kicks off its season today.

I'm not even a taxpayer in Knox County, but it's time to demand Mayor Jacobs to cut more promos during the 2020 season. This is a great start.

That's a much more reserved 'Kane' from what you used to see on 'Raw' back in the day, but it's a start. Can't wait to see what kind of promo Mayor Jacobs has in store for the Bama game:
