Kirk Cameron Hosts Second Caroling Event, Much to Chagrin of California Mall

For actor Kirk Cameron, there are no restrictions when it comes to the Christmas spirit.

For the second time, Cameron has hosted a caroling event in Thousand Oaks, Calif., defying the state's guidelines on COVID-19 restrictions amid a reported surge in cases. According to a clearly panicked report from Los Angeles ABC7-TV, the crowd of "about 75 to 100 people" was caroling outside a mall "right next to a COVID-19 testing center."

The news channel also reported that carolers ranged from children to senior citizens. "Few, if any, could be seen wearing masks or distancing from each other in aerial footage from AIR7 HD," the report read.

Meanwhile, mall representatives responded by calling the caroling "irresponsible --- yet constitutionally protected," and stated that they did not sanction the event.

"Officials have warned that such events can serve as 'super spreaders' causing infections among large numbers of people in a short amount of time, with those people then infecting other family members and friends before they are even aware they have the virus," ABC7 reported, though it did not cite which officials have made these statements.

Agree or disagree, the former Growing Pains star is clearly determined to keep people singing gleefully and spreading a positive message this Christmas season.
