Kim Kardashian Latest To Blast Cancel Culture

Despite Kim Kardashian's dating life moving on seemingly overnight to SNL's Pete Davidson, she's still defending Kanye during his lifelong battle with cancel culture. Many have claimed cancel culture doesn't exist, but even Kim admits to Substack journalist Bari Weiss that she regrets folding to that pressure when she told Kanye to take off his MAGA hat back in 2018.

Props to Kim for admitting she was wrong and yet again proving she's the smartest Kardashian by a mile. She actually has done some phenomenal stuff over the years.

"I was very nervous. I didn't want him to wear the red hat," Kim Kardashian said. "I'm not really a rule breaker, so my personality would be like 'OK you guys don't like the red hat? I'll take it off.' I remember other people were around and it became a thing where he wasn't going to go on because he wanted to be who he is."

Eventually, she admits to begging Kanye to remove the hat, which obviously he told her to pound sand (that part she won't admit).

"I'm very neutral, but that night I was very forceful with him, and argued with him like, 'You have to take that hat off'. And now looking back, I think, why should he take that off if that's what he believes in? Why can't he wear that on TV? Half of the country voted for , so clearly other people like him," she continued.

"I respect the fact that knew exactly what he believed in and always stood by that. To me, that's a good quality to have, no matter who is against you and no matter what the circumstances are. I think that it's just admirable and it's just a really cool quality. Even if it's not what I agree with, or or even if I would have done it differently, I think it's commendable."

Let's be honest for a second

Kim Kardashian is beginning to echo sentiments Outkick readers have known for a long time: we can disagree on political views and still enjoy each other's company. "Cancel culture" wanted to dismiss Kanye from pop culture if he continued spreading his political truths and they wanted Kim to help. Unfortunately, she did her part, and luckily for humanity, he told her he's his own man and he's rocking Trump in front of millions for Saturday Night Live.

We don't have to agree with everything Kanye says regarding politics or anything else, however we have to give the man his respect for being unafraid of consequence. It is, I should add, a tad bizarre listening to Kim reminisce on Kanye's "qualities" while she just filed for divorce and bounced into a new relationship with a 28-year-old kid in what felt like seconds.
