Kevin Steele Drops A Truth Bomb About His 18-Day Employment at UT

Kevin Steele had an interesting three-week stretch back in January. The longtime defensive coordinator managed to lose two interim head coaching jobs at two different SEC programs, all in an 18-day period.

According to Steele, those 18 days were so intense that they'd be worthy of a book, a book that would apparently be so entertaining that a TV deal would soon follow.

"To be real frank with you, I could write a book now about nothing more than those 18 days. So much so that if I did choose to write a book, it would be a Netflix series,” Steele said, via an article from Dennis Dodd on CBS Sports.

Dodd went further into what Steele is up to, now that he isn't coaching football in 2021. For the first time in 40 years, the now 63-year-old Steele isn't expected to be on the sidelines come football season. Instead, he'll be helping out and mentoring Navy SEALS. That's quite the career change in some ways, but there's at least some crossover there.

The article from Dodd is fascinating, if you've got the time.

Steele fully expects to be roaming the sidelines again soon enough, but in the meantime, let's see where another path away from football takes him. I'll certainly be interested to hear more about what he's got to say about those 18 days and beyond.

Until then, all we can do is speculate.
