Kevin Durant Spent His Thursday Roasting Scottie Pippen

The Chicago burn unit should set aside a room for Scottie Pippen because the former Bull spent his Thursday getting roasted by Kevin Durant.

Brooklyn's Durant took exception to an interview released by GQ on Thursday, in which Pippen criticized the Nets' star for what he sees as an inability to involve his teammates. The long-time Chicago Bull specifically referenced Brooklyn’s Game 7 playoff loss at the hands of Milwaukee last Saturday, telling Tyler R. Tynes:

"He needs to learn how to utilize his teams. He has to learn how to set up his teammates to be better. That’s it. As great as he is, there’s a to his . He could’ve easily made that three killed them in regulation, and we wouldn’t have been talking about this. But I knew going into overtime, he wasn’t gonna make it. He was taking all the shots. You done played the whole game, bro! And they’ve got guys physically wearing you down. You gonna lose."

Pippen then compared Durant unfavorably to LeBron James, per GQ:

"KD can score better than LeBron, probably always have been able to. But has he surpassed LeBron? Naw. He tried to beat the Milwaukee Bucks instead of utilizing his team. You see what I’m saying? LeBron James would’ve figured out how to beat them, and he wouldn’t have been exhausted and he may not have taken the last shot. But LeBron ain’t KD, and KD ain’t LeBron. KD is a shooter, a scorer. But he doesn’t have what LeBron has."

Durant, who’s never shied away from engaging in some social media name-calling, took to Twitter to begin slow-roasting the most famous “Robin” in NBA history.

If that dig wasn't enough to make the 6'8 Pippen feel tiny, KD then questioned the Hall of Famer's commitment.

Pippen is yet to respond. And at this point, he either needs to take the L or ask MJ to put out another fire.
