Katie Couric Admits To Covering Up RBG Criticism Of Colin Kaepernick To Protect RBG’s Legacy

The media has long propped Ruth Bader Ginsberg as a pioneer for equality in America while also selectively editing the late justice's words in order to fulfill the narrative of their liking.

Not only have they remained mum with RBG's position in rebuking the addition of more justices to the Supreme Court — contrary to the Democrats' desire to ruin the Court's balance — it appears that they've also chopped up her statements made against Colin Kaepernick during the NFL's kneeling scandal of 2016.

According to the Daily Mail, former Today host Katie Couric admitted in her new memoir, Going There, that a 2016 interview with the 83-year-old Supreme Court Justice led to remarks made by RBG that caught her by surprise and prompted her to protect the greater good by changing RBG's message.

Couric said that she was appalled to hear Ginsburg's opposition to Kaepernick's kneeling when discussing the topic, calling it "contempt for a government that has made it possible for their parents and grandparents to live a decent life." Per Couric's account, Ginsburg stated that activists supporting Kaepernick's message were "dumb and disrespectful," while additionally voicing other "problematic remarks."

The long-time anchor deemed Ginsburg's feedback against Kaepernick "unworthy of a crusader for equality" and omitted the response altogether from the 2016 interview.

However, Couric did not feel that the censoring of RBG's comments was uncalled for, citing her age and claiming that the justice "probably didn't fully understand the question."
