Karen Rovell's Under Attack Again For Being An Idiot

Karen Rovell, who once got mad at me for reporting what was inside the freebies bag he was carrying around Radio Row at Super Bowl LI, is catching heat for his lack of compassion for a dead guy's baseball card collection. "Pretty much all junk," Rovell tweeted to Frankie Everiette, who tagged Rovell in a tweet to see where he should even start with a card collection that ranges from 1986 to the early 1990s.

Rovell being Rovell, he came in all robotic like normal before being called out and pretty much doubling down on his stupidity. Rovell's stance is that he wanted to save Frankie "time and money." What's that mean? It's no secret that there are very few financial winners from a card-collecting era that went bust via over-production.

Karen's trying to say that sending off cards from this era to be graded isn't the best idea. The problem is that he can't just say this like a normal human. He has to come off as a condescending prick. A simple, "Hey Frankie, it looks like your dad had a passion for collecting. There might be a few pickers in there. Dig in & send me pics of what you find," message would've been cool, but Karen maintained his title as one of the biggest pricks in the social media game.

Let's just say he stayed on brand.

Imagine telling some guy who lost his father that you're saving him time by calling dad's collection "junk." That's where Karen's brain is at these days. He's hollow inside.

Frankie's not going to get rich off his dad's old collection that mirrors that of hundreds of thousands of mid-40s dads out there, but it just might trigger some sort of memory of his dad that's priceless. It's too bad Rovell can't see that.
