Justin Herbert Started for Chargers After Tyrod Taylor Hurt Chest in Warmups [UPDATED]

Justin Herbert started for the Los Angeles Chargers today. The sixth overall pick in the NFL Draft, Herbert is making his first ever start. This came completely out of nowhere — Tyrod Taylor didn’t exactly play well last week against the Bengals — we was 16-30 for 208 yards and no picks or touchdowns — but the Chargers won the game.

Nothing I saw all week gave any indication that Herbert would be starting this game, and then he rushed for a touchdown on his first drive under center:
