Josh Norman Finally Comments On Derrick Henry Stiff-Arm

Videos by OutKick

Josh Norman has stayed relatively quiet ever since Derrick Henry sent him into another dimension with a stiff arm last October. But, the Bills cornerback decided now was the time to speak, and he actually has a point.

“I’m not shying away from no one. I want to make that very clear, very, very clear,” Norman said to Yahoo! Sports. “That’s just the type of entertainment [fans] just want to see. But to actually go out there and do that? Man, they going to scurry and tuck they tail and go hide somewhere. They ain’t trying to do that.”

How can we argue against that? We’ve always said if a defender sees Henry charging him in the open field–it’s probably best to act confused and run the other way. Save your family, friends, and most importantly yourself the embarrassment.

Here’s the play one more time:

Josh Norman rarely has anything to say that doesn’t make us cringe, but he is on the money here. The fact that he tried to make this tackle on Henry, who is impossible to tackle, says a ton about who he is as a man. His teammates probably love the fact that he was willing to risk his soul to help the Buffalo Bills that day.

Unfortunately, Derrick Henry threw his carcass into the blender. They really should start paying defenders a bonus if they go head-to-head with Derrick Henry by choice. It’s the least an organization could do.

  1. I was watching that game with a friend when it happened and we both yelled out Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!!!
Unfortunately for Norman he will long be remembered for being swatted away like a fly by Henry.

  2. Derrick Henry is a beast. Anyone that has ever played football on the defensive side of the ball you have played against guys like Henry. A small player can hurt himself by trying to tackle someone that big.
