Former Bengals quarterback Jon Kitna went on Ryan Rusillo’s podcast this week and said that a receiver on his team was wasted during a game. Talk about the most “Bengals” story you ever heard.
If we were on the Cincinnati Bengals, we would probably be hammered, too.

“There was a time that I played a game with a guy that was drunk in the huddle,” Kitna said.
“I’m not sure if the staff knew, but I think that was kind of his normal. I mean, he was drunk and had close to 200 yards receiving,”
He didn’t give any names, so we’ll have to do some research to figure it out. I mean, how many Cincinnati Bengals from ’01-’05 had more than 200 yards receiving in a game? The Cincinnati Bengals have maybe the worst culture in all of sports, and this story needs some time to grow.
Unless, of course, I deploy our OutKick readers to FIND THIS MAN! Any person showing up to work hammered is a hero in our book (unless he’s putting lives on the line, obviously.)
I mean based on stats alone this has Ochocinco written all over it.
Maybe!
Because I’m super busy at work, I looked up the Kitna years. Two guys came close to 200. TJ Houshmandzadeh in 2004 with 171 yards against Baltimore and Ochocinco in 2005 against Indy with 189
Thanks!
No problem. I was more curious than anything else. Keep up the great articles!
Its always bullshit when they don’t identify anyone can say anything about anybody very weak
Chris Henry. Too easy.
That was my guess
Josh Gordon too, admitted to being drunk and high all the time when he was lighting everybody up the one year. Something about Ohio…I wonder what could drive people to get drunk in that frozen hellscape?
TJ doesn’t drink.
