Jon Gruden Snaps When Asked About Raiders' Victory Lap With Chiefs On Docket

Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid and Las Vegas Raiders coach Jon Gruden used to be close friends. Maybe they still are, but maybe they aren't.

After all, the Raiders handed the Chiefs their only loss of the season in Week Five. They then hopped on the bus and took a victory lap around Arrowhead Stadium before heading home.

That didn't seem to sit well with Reid.

“They won the game so they can do anything they want to do,” Reid told reporters. “That’s not our style.”

Now, the two NFC West rivals are set to square off again, this time in Vegas. Naturally, Gruden was asked about the bus ride. Predictably, he more or less avoided giving a real answer.

“You could find a smart-aleck bus driver in Kansas City who made some snide comments when we got on the bus,” Gruden said. “Maybe that’s why we drove around the stadium, to tick him off. You know, this is ridiculous. Next question."

As has often been the case with Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, all business will be taken care of on the field, and Gruden and the Raiders may have given the Chiefs even more incentive to win.
