If you thought John Daly would change his cig-smoking ways for this weekend’s 36-hole father-son PNC Championship, you’d be wrong. Big John and Little John Daly have been going about their business at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, Fla. Thursday and Friday were spent playing pro-am rounds which is something Santa John is completely comfortable doing as long as he can hammer a few cigs and go about his business.
Big John, who announced in September that he’s battling bladder cancer, isn’t changing for anyone, especially some five-star event that needs a Daly vs. Woods final grouping on Sunday. Big John and LJ (Little John) aren’t strangers to this tournament. They put up a 20-under in 2019, good for fifth place.
