Did Josh Allen Run John Brown Out of Buffalo?

John Brown is just one of the many skilled players to get cut recently, with more slated to come soon.

Weirdly, Brown had an NBA-style reaction to his release, hinting that it was Josh Allen's fault.

“You know, honestly, we didn’t know nothing, we weren’t even given a heads up,” Brown told SiriusXM NFL Radio. “But I’m a strong believer in God, and I just had a feeling it was going to come to that time, especially when the money dropped.  And I dealt with a few injuries so I missed, like, five games so the team went 5-0 without me.   But you know, different situations, the way things could have been handled.”

You can mark that down as a "wonder," but be honest, that's a blame.

I doubt Allen is the reason Brown got the boot. Players much better than Brown are getting cut right now, including Eric Fisher, who was crucial to the Chiefs' success.

Brown didn't help his case on the field this past season either. He had only 458 receiving yards and three touchdowns in nine games, ranking behind Stefon Diggs, Cole Beasley, and Gabriel Davis on the depth chart.

Anyway, this insinuation won't hurt Allen much. Last season, Allen was the second best QB in the regular season, trailing only the great Aaron Rodgers. Today, on March 11, Allen is my pick to win the MVP award in 2021-22. I love the roster around him, too.

As for you, John Brown, best of luck. Prayers for your next QB.
