Joe Burrow on Coach O: 'One of The Best Recruiters You'll Ever Meet'

Joe Burrow knows a thing or two about the recruiting process. He has been through it -- twice. Yes, it's true he didn't get as much attention the first time around, but he still understands what a good recruiter looks like.

So what does Burrow think about Ed Orgeron's ability to recruit? In his complete, non-biased opinion, he believes Coach O is "one of the best recruiters you'll ever meet." He said as much on the Cris Collinsworth Podcast on Wednesday, via Pro Football Focus.

Sure, Burrow might be biased. After joining Coach O in Baton Rouge, the former LSU star statistically had the best season in college football history. He and the Tigers also won a national title together, so needless to say, the Burrow-Orgeron marriage was wildly successful.

But the recruiting rankings back up the praise.

Though Alabama is also in the SEC West, the Tigers have been competitive on the recruiting trail. LSU has finished with a top 5 class in each of the last three seasons, including checking in at No. 3 in 2021. They also have the No. 3 class right now for 2022.

Coach O is down to earth and relatable. It's easy to see why guys would want to play for him.

They won't all be turned into No. 1 picks like Burrow, but they'll likely develop their skills under Coach O, and that's valuable too.
