Joe Burrow Impresses Bengals Grizzled Vet By Looking For Intel After Interception

Joe Burrow is quickly making an impression on Bengals grizzled vets like Josh Bynes who's heading into his 10th NFL season. During Thursday's practice, it was Bynes picking off a Burrow pass during an 11-on-11 drill. What happened after practice had Bynes impressed by the rookie quarterback. Bynes told Bengals.com that Burrow sought him out to pick his brain on the interception. The linebacker said it was something very out of the ordinary.

“Not a rookie quarterback. I don’t think I’ve had a rookie quarterback come up to me. Maybe I had a few vets here and there. Definitely not a rookie quarterback. But you can tell he’s hungry and wants to get better. That’s what I like about him. I think everybody is knowing that, especially on offense. They’re gravitating towards him because right now he has to lead the way for this offense and we’re looking forward to it.”

Burrow's next pass after the INT was a "laser to wide receiver Mike Thomas working the sideline," according to Bengals reporter Geoff Hobson.

The rave reviews continued during Friday's scrimmage as Burrow went 6-of-6, including a "perfect" pass to Auden Tate for a touchdown, according to longtime Bengals reporter Paul Dehner Jr.
