Joe Biden was sworn in as the 46th President of the United States of America today. In his inaugural speech, he preached a message of unity.

“Folks this is a time of testing,” he said. “We face an attack on our democracy and on truth. A raging virus. Growing inequity. The sting of systemic racism. The climate in crisis. American’s role in the world. Any one of these would be enough to challenge us in profound ways. But the fact is we face them all at once, presenting this nation with one of the gravest responsibilities we’ve had.”

“Now, we’re gonna be tested,” Biden continued. “Are we gonna step up, all of us? It’s time for boldness, for there’s so much to do. And this is certain, I promise you, we will be judged, you and I, by how we resolve these cascading crises of our era. Will we rise to the occasion, is the question. Will we master this rare and difficult hour? Will we meet our obligations and pass along a new and better world to our children? I believe we must. I’m sure you do as well. I believe we will. And when we do, we’ll write the next great chapter in the history of the United States of America.”

    So outside of Covid, those are the first two things he brings up. Any hope that this putz was going to be a moderate was just shat upon…

    • How much you want to bet that the fortune 500 companies that have played a large part in the “growing inequity” over the last 10 months won’t have anything done to them? Here is looking at big grocery chains, Walmart, Amazon, Apple, etc. Nah let’s just raise taxes on the middle class call all white GOP members racists and just keep on keeping on. Joe Biden is lame.

  4. But I thought, as has been spewed, especially by a lot black Americans and Woke white politicians, have been shoving down our throats, that America has never been great. Now all of a sudden, since Biden said , ” we’ll write the next great chapter in the history of the United States of America”, …..we’re great again? The hypocrisy from the left, the mainstream media, big tech and their sheeples is numbing. We’ve always been great because We The People and our great Constitution has allowed us to remain great. Unlike those I just mentioned who rooted for failure during the past 4 years, I will always wish the best for our sitting President and those in Congress that are suppose to keep We The People in their best interest. Until they prove otherwise, God Bless them and to all Americans.

      • My mentality? Just because I’m hoping for the best for America doesn’t mean I’m oblivious to what’s possibly, even more likely, to come. I would just prefer to be positive to start. Don’t go judging me for my take. Unless you’re older than 55, than keep your spewing down Steve.

        • I hear you Tim, but I see where Steve is coming from as well. The problem is the Dems are so drunk with power right now they don’t care about treating anyone who disagrees with them with any respect. So it is hard to show that to Dems. Just ignore them and get back to the daily grind.

          • I’m going to be completely transparent here……..I share the same venom as everyone else here, but because of my own health, getting worked up and continuing to stay worked up is not good for me. I’m trying to find inner peace and just want to be positive. I hold no ill will towards anyone. I’m fair game….say whatever anyone wants to say to me, I can take it. My priorities are my son and my grandson. As long as they’re ok, I’m ok.

  12. I will bring up to the group something of a silver lining here.

    For 4 years most of the media, the late night talk shows, and big blue checkmarks on twitter only survived because of their hatred of Trump. Heck twitter nearly collapsed overnight after they got rid of Trump…and Fox News collapsed after their mask got pulled off.

    Now that Trump is gone…what do they have now to keep the gravy train going? Sure they might have a ‘white supremacist or two’ story to whine about…but that isn’t going to be an every day thing like Trump was. What’s going to bring the eyeballs to their decrepit networks?
