Jimbo Fisher Hyping Aggie Fans: 'We Finished Fourth, That's Just Three Spots Too Low'

Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher is already talking confidently about the 2021 season.

And why not? The Aggies are coming off a 9-1 win season, which included a win over North Carolina in the Orange Bowl. They finished with a No. 4 overall ranking.

"We finished fourth," Fisher told the Dallas A&M club. "That's three spots too low."

Of course, Texas A&M competes in the SEC, right along with perennial contender and reigning national champion Alabama. So that makes winning titles difficult. But you gotta dream, Fisher indicated.

“If you can’t see that, you can’t believe in that, and it becomes that rare air. When you get to win a championship, you get to winning and playing in big-time games and understanding you belong there,” he said. “First of all, if you can’t see it, you can’t achieve it. We all live in circumstance, we live in vision. I mean, we can’t live in circumstances your whole life.

“We make excuses why we fail all the time. And we have to have vision of where you want to go. If you don’t ever see it, you’re never going to get there.”

The Aggies open the season Saturday, Sept. 4 vs. Kent State. You can check out their full schedule here.
