'Jets or Bust' for Robert Saleh?

The early chatter in the NFL coaching carousel cycle seemed to suggest that San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh would land with the Detroit Lions. Now, he is slated to have an in-person interview with the New York Jets, and NFL Network is saying it might be "Jets or bust" for him:

It would be interesting to see the Jets go with a defensive head coach. Saleh has been the defensive coordinator of the 49ers since 2017. It may seem like forever ago, but they just reached the Super Bowl just last season.

The Jets have an intriguing dilemma this offseason about what to do with Sam Darnold. Do they draft a quarterback second overall to compete with or possibly supplant him, or do they use the pick and their ample cap space to fortify a team around Darnold?
