Well, what did you think of Arch Manning?
My dad called Thursday and asked if I was watching baseball this week. That’s when I told him to keep an eye on ESPN2 for Arch Manning’s national TV debut. All I had to say was Manning and he was in. Game time at 9 ET was a little late considering dad probably got up this morning at 5:30 to go to work even though he’s retired, but he was very excited to see another Manning even though this one is 15 and a sophomore in high school.
I caught most of the second quarter and all of the third. Let’s just say it wasn’t hard to see why he’s considered the top quarterback prospect in the class of 2023. There was one touchdown pass when he threw across his body, which is normally a recipe for disaster. Except he has Manning arm strength. It was a tight spiral rope right on the numbers for six. Sold. I’m in. Get ready to hear about this kid for the next 20 years.
In positive news this morning, Hawaii is open for tourism again, albeit with rules. Tourists need to test negative for COVID before boarding flights. “The pre-travel testing program began Thursday and allows visitors who test negative for COVID-19 within 72 hours of their arrival in the islands to avoid quarantine — a measure that’s been in place for all arriving passengers for most of the year.”
Numbers from :
Clayton Kershaw has given up three go-ahead hits in the 6th inning or later since the 2013 postseason, tied with Justin Verlander for the 2nd-most over that span.
Only Aroldis Chapman (5) has given up more. pic.twitter.com/D5oInwZ9wm

October 16, 1994: After signing w/ 49ers in offseason, Deion Sanders returns to Atl to play his old team. Things get heated b/w him & Andre Rison in 2Q.
SF won 42-3. Rison had 5 rec for 32 yds. Deion had 93-yd pick-6
After game, he said “this is my house. I built this house.” pic.twitter.com/wdybxRLq9f

I miss pics of Kila Johnson in everyday wear. (A young woman who can pull off a look wearing off-the-rack apparel gets my vote over the glam-Nation…)
She’ll be back. October weather is her time to shine.
I remember the Deion v Rison revenge game. If I recall correctly, Deion missed several games after that one, because he pulled a hammy on the celebration during the INT return.
That dome tattoo is truly horrifying… obviously a Biden voter…
Deion was so much fun with hella speed no one would catch him in the open
That was a great clip of Prime Time. This is MY house!
Nice to see Jessica Simpson back in the game. But, I’m not sure she can compete with these younger lionesses anymore.
