Jerry Jones 'Very Open' To Hosting Conor McGregor's Next Fight

All Conor McGregor had to do was say that he wanted his fight against Dustin Poirier to take place at Jerry's World on January 23, and the Cowboys owner perked up. Jerry Jones could finally see dollar signs after a quiet year due to COVID.

McGregor initially said he wanted to fight in 2020, but Dana White stepped in and said there weren't any dates available. When presented with January 23, Notorious jumped at the opportunity.

"I accept, Jan 23rd is on," McGregor announced this week on Twitter. "My goal is to see this fight take place in Cowboy stadium. Proper Style! Jerry Jones is a friend and the stadium can hold our crowd. I will be ready for Texas and Texas will be ready for my fans! Then Manny."

Jones turned 78 this week and has just received the perfect birthday gift. He's had a tough year with lack of fans in the stands. A McGregor fight with fans will surely ease the pain.

“Very much open to it. Very open to it,” Jones said Friday on 105.3 The Fan. “I’m a real admirer of his. He’s one of the neatest individuals I think I’ve met, period. He has an unbelievable -- to be as physical as he is -- he has an unbelievable personality and charisma.

"He’s special. It would be quite a day for AT&T Stadium to have him.”
