Here Are The Plans For 'Jeopardy!' For The Rest Of The Season

Sony production sources tell TMZ that it will finish out this season of Jeopardy! with Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings as the sole two hosts. The plan is for Bialik to host more than half of the episodes while Jennings hosts the rest.

Jeopardy! will not bring back any other tryout hosts for the remainder of the 2021 season.

Sony execs have not decided on a permanent host to replace Mike Richards, whom they essentially fired for comments he made in 2013. While Sony named Bialik the show's secondary host behind Richards this summer, TMZ says she could ultimately take over as the show's primary host.

It's interesting to see Sony give Jennings this opportunity. Sony executives and producers -- probably not Mike Richards, of course -- saw Jennings as the "ideal successor" to Alex Trebek until old tweets of his resurfaced. According to the Wall Street Journal, Jennings' tweets essentially lost him the job. However, it seems Sony is willing to look past those tweets for now.

By the way, if Aaron Rodgers is ever to play like he did Sunday against the Saints again -- Sony should offer him the job before he heads back to Green Bay.
