Jena Sims & Brooks Koepka Sum Up 2020 With 'What A Wash' Christmas Card

If you were wondering how Brooks Koepka and girlfriend Jena Sims felt about 2020, they summed it up pretty well on their '2020...What a wash' Christmas card that was sent out to friends. Koepka, who ended 2019 as the No. 1 golfer in the world, is now the 12th ranked player after finishing T-29 at the PGA Championship, withdrawing from the U.S. Open and T-7 at The Masters.

Koepka finished his PGA Tour season with just two top tens, and he wasn't in the mood to talk about 2020 during an early December press conference. “I don’t know if I could say that without getting fined,” Koepka told reporters. “Pretty bad.”

And with that, the Christmas card idea was born.

“I mean, I’m disappointed. It’s not been the year I wanted, but just got to move on and keep pushing through,” Koepka said. “Augusta just, I wasn’t pleased with it, but I guess I get to go back next year.”

Brooks, who was on the road for several months during a pandemic, was in a much better mood during a December trip to Tulum where Jena fed him grapes and the two got back to their content-creating roots.
